Why? A ship always displaces an amount of water that weighs the same as the ship, regardless of how heavily a ship may be loaded5.39.217.77:8898. `1 o* s6 o) o8 a# ~8 t. n

The Incredible Magdeburg Water Bridge in Germany
( R& ]. G5 A0 `- e7 J: NTVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。The Magdeburg Water Bridge is a navigable aqueduct in Germany that connects the Elbe-Havel Canal to the Mittelland Canal and allows ships to cross over the Elbe River. At 918 meters, it is the longest navigable aqueduct in the world.
( H6 B3 h) [ i; {- c! N5 U, rThe Elbe-Havel and Mittelland canals had previously met near Magdeburg but on opposite sides of the Elbe Ships moving between the two had to make a 12-kilometer detour, descending from the Mittelland Canal through the Rothensee boat lift into the Elbe, then sailing downstream on the river, before entering the Elbe-Havel Canal through Niegripp lock. Low water levels in the Elbe often prevented fully laden canal barges from making this crossing, requiring time-consuming off-loading of cargo.

6 u. r+ A, t3 A4 o8 K5.39.217.77:8898Construction of the water link was started as early as in the 1930s but due to the World War 2 and subsequent division of Germany the work remained suspended till 1997. The aqueduct was finally completed and opened to the public in 2003. TVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。, ]) G" |6 x4 {1 H1 p4 h6 }
