When you think about a car that costs $7,000 (€5,283) what enters your mind? Two Tata Nanos? A junker from the 90's? How about a 2011 Baojun 630 instead. That's right, GM's newest car from their newest brand (through joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling) will be priced like a Black Friday special.
So what does this meager sum get you? Surprisingly, decent styling and a comfortable, but basic, interior. Additional information is scarce, but the car is based on theBuick Excelle and is powered by a Roewe-sourced 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 105 hp (78 kW / 106 PS) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque.
A Chinese launch is scheduled for early next year and production is targeted to exceed 100,000 units.
