English translation of the original ' S' k8 e* [+ h% o. m
The original song was written in 1933 by two Hungarians, Rezso Seress (music) TVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。" R7 x) o) t  g
and Laszlo Javor (lyrics), and consisted of the first two stanza tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb. t" O( S" m3 ^" Z4 ^; B

Actually, the second part of the song in Hungarian is not so reassuring at all.
1 u$ T! |2 J8 u- ~# K, t公仔箱論壇It is if at all possible, much gloomier than the first two stanzas, almost apocalyptic. tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb  n. Z- d/ ~+ p$ u# g( U; d
It looks like the pessimism of the song was too much for the translators and they made their translation a happier one. tvb now, tvbnow, bttvb+ m) U+ i7 c3 b+ K! p
In that case one might argue that the translator has done a bad job + Z0 U0 h+ k) L
and 'ruined' the song, or in other words: a translator has to maintain the original spirit 5.39.217.77:8898. O  s) z8 ]' E; q& H, j0 x! B

a translator may also be more than just a translator and based on the original create a new song.   k: Q& e) s& |
Perhaps the Sam Lewis mentioned in the credits is responsible for this.

Zoe Orosz also made a translation into English of the original Hungarian song, adding: tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb7 p% h, ]- f1 A1 o

Someone said that:
  k$ ~* }+ [, NI like this song very much! It is a little jazzy, and Sarah's singing and the music create the right mood for the song. , h5 i0 c4 f7 A' O
One thing is very strange, though. The mood changes between the second and the third stanza, 公仔箱論壇1 m, @5 v( f8 q% L/ g2 g' R
because she wakes up and realises that the gloomy first two stanzas were nothing but a dream and the third stanza is then more chearful.
* w" z2 r- t" q& \6 Q. l1 j$ `4 e公仔箱論壇This change of mood is strangely rather abrupt: 公仔箱論壇5 t( c4 Z5 N0 w& `+ [0 E- H
the pause is less than a second -- Sarah has barely enough time to catch her breath. / ]" T8 e% d7 [. L
I would have expected the change in mood between stanzas two and three to be build up a little more gradually, * Q) m  k0 W) l: k3 u. _, m
in five to ten seconds or so. After all, waking up and realising that it was a dream takes time.
( Q9 o  S0 ~! h; w7 T' t9 ?( n) Q5.39.217.77:8898Hazan suggested that the last stanza could still be part of the dream: the singer has lost her lover, ( s+ ~; s& F! v$ t: R
