Arsene Wenger maintains that a decision on whether Theo Walcott will sign a new deal with the club will be made next month.

Walcott is locked in talks with Arsenal over a new deal, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Wenger insists he would like to see the England international remain but his future remains anything but certain.

"My desire is to keep Theo," he reiterated.

"We do what's needed to keep him and hopefully [as] I told you many times, we can sort this situation out very soon - very soon is before the end of December, one way or another, that is for sure."
