Tuning brand Marangoni, previously only associated with making performance tyres, has gone slightly manic on an Alfa RomeoMi.To by blowing the Italian luxury mini car to a stupendous level. From the car's 1.4T-Jet they managed to force out 220hp/ 164kW, up65hp/ 48kW from the standard turbo car. These numbers are comparable tothe Ford Focus ST and Renault Megane RS R27. Power delivery is said tohave been achieved from very low revs on the little pocket rocket whichMarangoni calls an M430.
Aesthetically changes include lowering the car by more than 4cm,bolting on scissor-style doors infusing various air inlets with thebody, a rear end diffuser and four exhaust pipes. Those red low-profiletyres match both exterior and interior theme, and measure some18-inches. Mi.To's major rival the MINI's last limited edition unit wasthe 2006 MINI GP, which made a fearsome 220hp from its 1.6-litreengine. Marangoni may have just given Alfa something quite tangible towork from.
