Singaporean should be proud of achieving the name of "Cleanest City", it's through a lot of community education and law enforcements.  Now, everyone have a habit of keeping the city clean.

新加坡是个很整洁的城市，因为罚款厉害，所以人们就比较自觉，但是也没到一尘不染的境界，有些北欧国家比如挪威就很干净，新加坡的各种小吃什么到是不错的

用罰款的方法去令城市整洁,就算真的造一塵不染的境界,也不算真的干淨.

It takes both law enforcements and community education to achieve the result there.  Now the new generation has naturally acquired  the habit of not littering in public.tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb, @: i! y! }: B, S1 ]8 u, ?! P
It's different here, a few years ago, there was a big public education campaign telling people to keep the city clean, there were rubbish bins every 10 metres, people developed the habit to put rubbish in the bins.  Gradually, the number of bins were reduced, now everyone still keep the rubbish until they find a bin to dispose of it.  That's how it works here, no fines.
