利物浦領隊杜格利殊與會方簽下正式合同「坐正」之後，隨即著力於為球隊引援的工作，繼成功羅致英格蘭的「明日之星」佐敦軒達臣之後，杜帥揚言今周內將敲定黑池隊長查理阿當的收購！由於黑池來季降班英冠，因此查理阿當肯定將離隊他投，而在今年1月轉會窗期間最終未能成功羅致該名黑池隊長後，利物浦已於近日重提舊事，並幾近達成收購協議。
杜格利殊一直十分欣賞查理阿當，而消息指利物浦可望以900萬鎊將該名蘇格蘭球星帶到晏菲路球場。
