Arsenal chase Napoli attacking pair
Reports in the media suggest that Arsenal are exploring the option of bringing in Napoli pair Eduardo Vargas and Juan Camilo Zuniga to the Emirates in January as the duo have found it hard to get significant game time in Naples.
Chile international Vargas joined Napoli this season and has made 15 appearances for the club in all competitions scoring 3 goals but has failed to get a consistent run in due to the presence of Edinson Cavani. Vargas is looking for a way out of the club in the January transfer window and Arsenal could do with a player of his talent.
The Gunners have lacked depth in the attacking department with summer signings Oliver Giroud and Lukas Podolski showing glimpses of their talent in flashes. With Theo Walcott still uncertain about his future at the club, Arsenal are looking at options and Vargas could provide them the necessary ammunition in attack with his ability to play either as a striker or on the wings.
Zuniga has played close to 90 games for Napoli since joining in 2009and has scored 4 goals but has been battling for his place in the team with Andrea Dossena. Reports suggest Arsenal are preparing a bid for the player in January as he could provide cover in the full-back position with Andre Santos looking a likely departure and also play as in the wide position.
