With Hyundai Genesis Coupes released onto the road, it was only a matter of time one would meet its doomed fate.
Circulating around a multitude of Korean blogs are pictures of theunfortunate first crash of the Genesis Coupe. The 2.0 Turbo slammedinto the concrete surround of a metal pole somewhere in South Korea,allowing us all to take a look at how the car handles real worldaccidents.
From the look of these photos, both driver and passenger frontairbags never deployed despite the apparent severity of the crash. Itdoes seem however, that the car did do its job structurally, having thefront take most of the brute impact, while leaving the passengercompartment relatively intact. Facts are still obscure at this point asmost of the source information is in Korean but hopefully more detailswill be known shortly.
