Wenger - I'm not worried about Eduardo
With a goalscoring record of 73 goals in 104 matches at his former club, fans may have expected an avalanche of goals from Eduardo when he joined Arsenal in the summer.
The Brazilian-born striker has scored twice as a substitute in the Champions League but is still coming to terms with life in the Premier League. However Arsène Wenger insists that, when he is fully adjusted, the Croatian international will have no problems regaining the form that won him accolades across Europe.
“I feel at the moment his obstacle is psychological and physical,” said Wenger. “Sometimes he is surprised by the way guys go into the challenges.
“He thinks ‘OK, challenge me and I will win this fight comfortably’. Then he is surprised by the commitment.
“Eduardo will come on. I’m not worried.” |
