[新聞] Bordeaux give up Silvestre chase

Bordeaux have all but given up hope of signing Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre after admitting that money has proven a barrier.
The Ligue 1 side had been pursuing the option of bringing the 30-year-old back to his homeland after an injury-ravaged season at Old Trafford that saw him play just six games for the club.
However, Les Girondins president Jean-Louis Triaud has revealed that Silvestre’s salary and the lure of a profitable testimonial was too much of an obstacle for any move to materialise.
"There are several targets for the left-back role," Triaud told French radio station RMC. "In that position, above all there was one who was his (Blanc's) first choice and that proved to be impossible.
"Yes, I think the possibility of Mikael Silvestre coming here has ended.
"He has a salary at Manchester United that he has no reason to forego. Moreover, after 10 years at that club, there is a tradition that a friendly match is organised for the benefit of the footballer with the revenue going to him."
