由於租借前鋒的回歸以及買進新後衛，曼聯本賽季前鋒和中後衛人選上明顯過剩。現在“小豌豆”赫南德斯與歐文也逐漸傷癒復出，即將率隊在週一迎戰熱刺的曼聯主帥弗格森表示，陣中可上陣的7大前鋒讓他將面臨艱難的選擇。赫南德斯在美國熱身賽中腦部受到撞擊，歐文此前背部也出現了一點問題，目前傷缺的他們有望會在未來一兩周內痊癒，屆時弗格森將面臨艱難的選擇，因為老爵爺可用之前鋒多達7人——迪烏夫、馬切達、魯尼、赫南德斯、貝巴托夫、維爾貝克和歐文。
雖然弗格森承認他將面臨如何選擇首發前鋒的難題，但“幸好”的是，現在費迪南和維迪奇受傷了，他暫時不用考慮中後衛的問題。他說：“不過，當費迪南與維迪奇都痊癒之後，或者其中一個傷癒了，我還是要做出決定。”

i think is better to convince diouf and macheda to be loaned out to have a win-win situation for both man u and themselves for this season..given that berbatov and owen can stil play actively for one more season..plus welbeck on the bench..the starting lineup strikers for man u will be rooney and hernandez.

依家曼聯始終係剛剛開始用一班年輕球員, 哩個年輕組合應該有好多不足嘅地方,
依家嘅後備力量確係過盛, 但點樣去配合整隊球隊係仲需要一段日子嚟觀察,
點樣至可以將班後生仔儘量發揮佢哋嘅能力, 配合球隊不同嘅戰術等等, 都要不斷去嘗試, 去揣摩,
從中篩選一啲不適合嘅人, 睇嚟費sir嘅思路應該以安全為主.
