Now the automaker has made it official, and it’s called the Ferrari 458 Italia.Its 4.5-liter, direct-injection V-8 engine provides 562 horsepowerand 398 pound-feet of torque, which accelerates the new mid-engineFerrari to 62 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds, then on to a top speed of202 miles per hour. The power is put to the rear wheels via the sameseven-speed dual-clutch gearbox seen in the California.
All of this is wrapped in a beautiful, 3042-pound package. It willmake its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. |
