Tsawwassen near the ferry terminal you can get the same pics very easily.  I was there catching clams back in the 80's, which are probably what the people in the pics are doing...

and sorry, but i don't think black and white helps the 1st photo in this case, because the "dunes" are a little messy and the message is lost.  2nd photo is quite nice with fewer simpler arcs.
