Not known for a loose attitude towards outlandish behaviour, police in Dubai have arrested the owners of two vehicles used in a seemingly spontaneous bout of strunt driving on one of the emirate's main roads. Police also seized the Nissan Patrol and Toyota pick-up truck that were seen riding on two wheels, pulling doughnuts, and burning out on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The two men are reportedly from the UAE and in their 20s. They could be fined and sentenced to three years in prison if they are convicted. Their vehicles were identified by investigators who, along with people worldwide, watched videos of the stunt on video sharing websites.
Sheikh Zayed Road is a twelve-lane stretch of highway E11 that connects Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.
