The building of the Great Wall is one of the most magnificent achievement of us Chinese. It may no longer be serving the original objectives, but it does show the wisdom of our ancestor who built such monument to stop the invasion of the tribes from the north east. It's the vision, perseverance and strategic ingenuity of our ancestor at that period who gave rise to peace and prosperity at the time. As a Chinese myself, I take pride of this great historic monument. When I visited Beijing, I did walk a very small section of the Great Wall.
