G-Owen To United
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich. The Premiership champions will pay a basic £18million for the Canadian-born midfielder, plus additional sums based upon any trophies United win. Bayern have had their worst season in recent memory, finishing in fourth place in the German Bundesliga. And they now need to bring in funds for a major squad overhaul.

As one player reportedly closes in on a move to Old Trafford, the Star reckon another is on his way out. The paper claims Louis Saha will leave United this summer after a row with Sir Alex Ferguson when the Frenchman asked for a week off after pulling out of the Manchester derby 11 days ago.
Ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final, Sir Alex reckons United will be ‘bouncing’ into the new Wembley to claim the FA Cup.

Bayern confirm sale of Hargreaves (BBC SPORT)
Hargreaves is expected to sign a four-year deal with Man Utd
Bayern Munich have agreed to sell Owen Hargreaves to Manchester United.
Club president Franz Beckenbauer told German TV: "Owen is leaving. That was the player's wish. It's a good match and it's also a good deal financially."
Beckenbauer said the transfer fee was "around" £17m - which would be a record for a Bundesliga player.
Hargreaves, 26, has been at Bayern for 10 years but after starring for England at the World Cup last year, he admitted he wanted to play in the Premiership.
Considering the money Chelsea paid for Makelele and the fact Hargreaves is younger - a very good buy for Man Utd

United quickly moved to open negotiations with Bayern and made offers in the summer transfer window and in January but the German club refused to sell - until now.
Hargreaves, who played only nine league games for Bayern this season because of injury, is expected to sign a four-year deal with the newly-crowned Premiership champions.
His career in Germany ended in disappointment when Bayern finished fourth in the Bundesliga, thereby missing out on Champions League qualification.
Writing in his column for the BBC Sport website, Hargreaves admitted the club "can never afford not to qualify for the Champions League".
His transfer is therefore likely to be the first stage of an overhaul at the club, with chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge promising to carry out "brutal and ruthless" changes to the team.
Sunday's newspaper reports suggested Bayern could use the funds from Hargreaves' sale to buy Chelsea winger Arjen Robben.

Manchester United are reportedly set to make a quadruple transfer swoop over the summer.
After Bayern Munich admitted that midfielder Owen Hargreaves is on his way to Old Trafford in an £18 million deal, the Daily Mirror reports that Sir Alex Ferguson has lined up three more players to add to his squad.
Young Southampton full-back Gareth Bale has long been linked with a move to the Champions, and the Mirror reports that he will make the move in the summer, possibly as a replacement for Gabriel Heinze, who could leave the club.
Long-term target Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres isalso thought to be on Ferguson's wanted list, while Sporting Lisbonwinger Nani completes the quartet of potential signings.
Ferguson is also keen on Spurs pair Aaron Lennon and DimitarBerbatov, but a deal - this summer anyway - is thought to be unlikely.
