　　【国名释义】国家与首都同名。据传，公元前6世纪，摩诺尼哥部落在此定居，由此得名。

　　【国旗】呈长方形，长与宽之比为５∶４。旗面由上红下白两个平行相等的横长方形构成。红、白两色来自公国国家元首亲王旗的颜色，也是国家的传统颜色。亲王旗旗地为白色，中央绘有亲王王徽，王徽上的盾形图案则由红、白两色构成。 , p8 Q* g+ _" q! H9 E) d8 `# K) o

　　【国徽】亲王徽。为斗篷式。斗篷上是一顶王冠，斗篷内的盾形由红、白两色构成，底色为白色，上有１５块红色的菱形图案。盾形两侧各有一位手持长剑的摩纳哥修道士，盾周由绶带装饰，下方悬挂着一枚圣查尔斯勋章，勋章两侧的绶带上写着“上帝恩助我治理”。
