這座以水管線路、煙囪風管、鋼筋桁架等怪異外觀而馳名的龐畢度中心（Certre Gerorges-Pompidou），正式的名稱是「國立文化藝術中心」。它的管路顏色各有其代表：藍色代表排氣管，綠色為水管，黃色是電線管，紅色是人行通道。 ) N6 L/ g' l1 i1 b- @ * C7 I1 y$ z' `( j2 T龐畢度中心的電扶梯由建築物的正面扶級而上，猶如玻璃導管，從頂樓可俯瞰巴黎各大景點，如蒙馬特聖心堂、愛菲爾鐵塔、巴黎傷兵院圓頂教堂的景緻盡收眼底。( Q r4 L5 S! _

Even those don't like it do admit it is a great structure in architecture. But they insist that the structure is total unmatch with the classical structure of the museum. I must say I personally like it but not as part of the museum which keeps lot of classic masterpieces in different aspects. It just don't match! In fact, most items are displayed in the museum for 1 to 3 months in a year. Many others were kept behind. 凱旋門 is well-known not just for the scrupture on it. It is to the welcome Napoleon for bringing victory and glory to French as a whole. It's not just located in the centre of the city. All roads and traffic were design and constructed using 凱旋門 as the centre. Road and radiate out from 凱旋門. If u have see the aerial view of it. You know why 龐畢度中心 has "以水管線路、煙囪風管、鋼筋桁架等怪異外觀"? I forget the name of the architect. But I've an article many years ago saying that the basic concept is " to bring the inside out" That mean to create the largest, unobsructed view within.
