Apple 在上個月推出了搭載 M1 Pro / M1 Max 處理器的 2021 14 / 16吋 MacBook Pro 。從這開始，Asahi 團隊以實現在新硬件上運行 Linux 開源操作系統為目標努力奮鬥。

去年，Asahi 團隊就已搞掂了 M1 平台。現在 Asahi Linux 項目組的 Hector Martin 在 Twitter 上宣布，計劃有了一個新的里程碑—— 通過可用的 USB 接口，在 M1 Pro 設備上成功的啟動了一個 Shell 界面。
在過去一年， Hector Martin 致力於通過眾包的方式，讓 Linux 在 Apple 最新硬件平台上運行。在此期間，Hector Martin 與許多開發者為了在 M1 MacBook 上運行 Linux 開源操作系統，付出了大量的心血。
