王甫芬醫生為完成女友夏曉彤的遺願而加入國際救援組織，後更成立以平民為對象的龍城醫療中心。芬隨組織在肯尼亞工作時，認識了齊百恒醫生。百恒其後亦受芬影響加入「龍城」。芬的精神亦叫在私家醫院當護士的康喬心儀，惜芬始終忘不了曉彤。百恒在非洲認識了義工夏曉晴，其後二人再在「龍城」相遇，唯曉晴卻因百恒身邊的富家女高小柔而卻步。可能醫者真的不能自醫，助人無數的百恒和芬在面對人生挑戰時，也有無助的時候。
