Hull City manager Phil Brown has defended referees after officialswere criticised in several high-profile mistakes at the weekend.
Penalties for Manchester United and Wigan and a red card for Everton's TimCahill have all come under scrutiny.
Bolton and Manchester City managers Gary Megson and Mark Hughes - whose teamswere both on the receiving end of dubious penalty decisions - both called forthe introduction of television replays.
However, although Brown can sympathise with his counterparts he does not thinkvideo replays are the way forward.
''If we highlight the Cahill incident, that was definitely not a red card butthere were two or three on Saturday that were right,'' he said.''But you can't take away the human element of the referee.''
The Hull boss, whose side sprang a surprise with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal atthe Emirates Stadium, is trying to keep his players' grounded with thenewly-promoted club currently sixth in the Premier League.
''We were bottom of the Championship 18 months ago. We have won three games andthat's probably two or three more than people expected us to win,'' Brown addedon Radio 5 Live.
''Wekeep our feet on the ground but we are an ambitious group. To be aPremier League club is a fantastic achievement, to be one at the end ofthis season would also be a fantastic achievement. But there is a levelof consistency required.''
