Retirement is a strong possibility for Kings' forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim as his 31-year-old body begins to wear down, according to Sacramento Bee. Abdur-Rahim's troublesome right knee could prevent him from taking part in October's training camp, which could mean retirement and an early start to a coaching career. The Sacramento forward said his physical progress remains "slow," and that he's "going to sit down and focus on that when I get back." He's currently on an 11-day trip to Africa that will conclude on Monday. Abdur-Rahim averaged just 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in six games for the Kings in 2007-08.

Oh no.. i like Shareef Abdur-Rahim.. i am a real fan of him.. i live in vancouver, he used to be a team go-to-player. He is a really good player, but just tough luck that he always got traded and signed with sub-.500 team... I even have his Vancouver jersey
It's sad to see him if he actually retires
