Real Madrid are closing in on a move for Ajax attacker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, according to his agent Vincenzo Morabito.
The Holland hit-man is focusing on the Euro 2008 finals with his country but is expected to leave Amsterdam after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.
A number of top clubs have trailed the former Heerenveen star for some time, including Manchester United and Chelsea, but Real are in pole position to bring another Dutch striker into the club to join Ruud van Nistelrooy at the Bernabeu.
Morabito revealed to an Italian radio station that a deal is in the pipeline and he expects a move to be successfully completed in the near future.
Huntelaar was thought to be an option open to United manager Sir Alex Ferguson as he seeks a striking talent to pep up his attack at Old Trafford.
