前不久伊朗一位核子科學家當街被炸死,伊朗政府及軍方指摘是以色列情報機關 Mossad所為,旨在破壞伊朗的核武、核工業研發進程。伊朗政府透露,近幾年已有多位核子科學家被伏擊,有多人死傷。tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb3 d$ e. R) v/ |6 Y, a& @

看到這段新聞讓我想到一齣叫《諜債》( The Debt)的有趣電影。主演的是演過《英女皇》的美國老牌女星 Helen Mirren。電影中她演的正正是以色列情報組織 Mossad的幹練特工,立過不少汗馬功勞,並參與獵捕藏匿世界各地的納粹戰犯及執行滅絕政策的劊子手,包括擊斃拿猶太小孩作活人實驗的「集中營醫生」( Doctor of Birkenau)。可是,原來擊斃「醫生」是個謊言,是個假局,實情是關鍵時刻功敗垂成,被「醫生」突圍逃跑,再次藏匿起來。幾十年後,某烏克蘭境內的老人院傳出消息,說真正的「醫生」還在生,並將會接受記者訪問,大談當年在集中營及戰後被捕獵的往事。 Helen Mirren為了圓謊,也為了完成當年未完成的任務,甘於放棄舒適的生活,再出山對付「醫生」……公仔箱論壇$ Q. 電影當然有誇張及戲劇化的成份,但以色列情報機關 Mossad的確讓不少人膽顫心驚,追捕納粹戰犯固然不手軟,七二年慕尼黑奧運多個以色列運動員被綁架及殺害,Mossad特工萬里緝兇,在多個不同國家逐一「處決」涉案的恐怖分子,同樣教人印象難忘。為了保障以色列的安全,為了防止伊朗成功發展核武器,Mossad用盡各種手法、手段包括暗殺參與計劃的科學家不是不可能的事。往下來要留意的是以色列會不會像對付伊拉克那樣來個先發制人,摧毀伊朗的核子設施。一旦以色列採取行動,又或是跟美國聯合行動,伊朗肯定會反擊,到時候中東將出現另一場亂局,比伊拉克戰爭、阿富汗戰爭還要慘烈得多。

對以色列來說,任何阿拉伯國家擁有核武器都是它的最大夢魘。只要打開地圖看一看就知道以色列絕不是過慮。她是個沒有腹地的國家,大部份國民都居住在像沙漠綠洲般的幾個大城市內。一旦受到核彈攻擊,以色列國民固然死傷慘重,以色列國大部份土地更會成為不毛之地,要過好幾十年甚至百年才能清除輻射污染,再次適合人居住。假若是大規模的核攻擊,以色列全國將成為焦土,國毀人亡,即使成功還擊也無補於事。在這樣的憂慮下,在隨時被徹底毀滅的威脅下,以色列對中東國家發展核武特別敏感,特別着緊,使用非常手段是正常不過的事。一九八一年伊拉克強人薩達姆銳意發展核武,成功取得法國、蘇聯的核技術,差一點就能製造核彈。在關鍵時刻,以色列派出多架 F15、 F16戰機轟炸核設施,令計劃打回原形。tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb0 B8 I3 ~/ I5 U7 s3 Z( n$ h

Israel would continually be a willing partner of US or other powers as long as it serves her own good.

The author described a scene of Armageddon if Israel were attacked with nuclear weapons from neighboring Arab states. However, in closer scrutiny, Israel possesses a powerful nuclear and conventional military capacity that easily outpace the surrounding 'hostile' states. It is exactly this 'siege' psychology that resulted in the deep-seated insecurity that undermines all attempts at peace talk. 0 b3 [4 l H* d* q5 m
