The name 悉尼 has been used as the official name for Sydney for at least six to seven years now, when pronounced in Mandare in, it's a much closer translation of Sydney compare to 雪梨 . Just like the name Beijing instead of Peking for 北京 in English. However, in a Chinese restaurants, if you try to order a Beijing Duck, the waiter wouldn't know what you are trying to order though. tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb1 ^0 h1 K& @5 a0 E- U8 T0 Z! ^7 J

- j7 k. E' q+ X! i公仔箱論壇The first one is either from the Sydney Botanic Garden or at the Hyde Park, they are both very nice spots to relax and have a leisurely sunbake during the lunch break for many Sydneysiders.
$ I1 u, D" S: qThen there is the famous Sydney Opera House taken from the western side.公仔箱論壇' H, W5 `8 H; [+ F% ^# K
Followed by two photos of the snow fields at Perisher Valley, not much snow yet, give it another 4 to 5 weeks, then it would be right into the skiing season.
: X% R0 x- Y0 k公仔箱論壇Then there are the Bondi Beach, if you venture to the eastern side, well, there you will find a lot of women sunbaking topless; no fuss, as men do it all the time.tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb; N* e6 o7 f+ j1 z& z# L
Then we are heading north toward central coast up, about an hour and a half drive from Sydney, we get to the a place call The Entrance, a really nice spot, the ranger feed the Pelicans twice a day, quite an interesting sight. Great fish and chips shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nice fishing spot too. 5.39.217.77:8898( \7 V5 O- D4 B! A# `
Here we are back to Sydney at the St Andrew's Cathedral, an Anglican church next to the Sydney townhall.公仔箱論壇5 a, I! g. f& Y8 ]& d8 _8 m! ~: \) M
The last one is specially for the shopaholics. The renovated Queen Victoria Building, there used to be an up market Chinese restaurant inside, but it's now turned into another shop. A very nice shopping arcade.公仔箱論壇7 I ]% h3 b+ q! L5 o
