All along we were working on 2 phones, Sooner, more blackberry-like & Dream, touchscreen based. 0 O$ d7 W  d2 K6 b( p" ^6 W公仔箱論壇渲染圖中可以看到，該裝置通體為黑色和霓虹色，整機結構與 HTC Dream 非常類似，都為橫向滑蓋設計，滑蓋下方為全尺寸物理鍵盤，鍵盤採用全霓虹色。
1 a' g4 X% B; i% K0 k' R: I; i: u公仔箱論壇由於渲染圖是理想狀態，所以 HTC Dream 因為各種原因無法完全採用渲染圖的設計。像是渲染圖中的點動輪變成了軌跡球；許多特定功能的按鍵被削減，減少至手機底部的五個按鈕。
# ~4 _* r- |' f) G, U' {HTC Dream根據 Miner 的爆料，瞭解到當時是在開發兩款手機，一款是類似 Blackberry 的裝置，代號為「Sooner」，另一款便是代號為「Dream」的手機。但在初代 iPhone 推出之後，捨棄了 Sooner 項目，集中精力開發 Dream 項目，最終推出第一款 Android 手機 HTC Dream。
