Hong Kong people, before 1990s, only think Chinese is Cantonese.5.39.217.77:8898) O" u% g, e4 p* y" A; S8 Q
It was wrong but we only think and talk that way.
前面松哥老婆差点被车撞那一幕,他说请以华文(华语)和我老婆道歉。而因该是 Mandarin 而 不是 Chinese,因为 Chinese 指的是华人,华族。反而 Mandarin 指的是华文(华语)。 ...TVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。0 Q( p/ K% C! m

What's wrong with the word "Chinese"? The word "Chinese" has multiple implications, just like any other words like "English" , "German" and "French"~~~ When you are in a place where majority of the public speaks Cantonese (which is a local dialect of Chinese), asking a person to "Speak Chinese" means you want that person to speak in that local dialect, i.e. Cantonese in this case! 8 A9 A* B9 x: D& g1 b3 gtvb now, tvbnow, bttvb ; d M+ H7 |1 l9 @: qI think your interpretation of "Chinese" being just a human race is far too superficial ~~~公仔箱論壇+ g3 L) G1 ~" X# N6 X* ?* `' t! a
