Hong Kong people, before 1990s, only think Chinese is Cantonese. 7 K: @5 j6 j. c: c: p- f0 R) Ttvb now, tvbnow, bttvbIt was wrong but we only think and talk that way.
前面松哥老婆差点被车撞那一幕,他说请以华文(华语)和我老婆道歉。而因该是 Mandarin 而 不是 Chinese,因为 Chinese 指的是华人,华族。反而 Mandarin 指的是华文(华语)。 ...公仔箱論壇# ~: L V5 n |0 o

What's wrong with the word "Chinese"? The word "Chinese" has multiple implications, just like any other words like "English" , "German" and "French"~~~ When you are in a place where majority of the public speaks Cantonese (which is a local dialect of Chinese), asking a person to "Speak Chinese" means you want that person to speak in that local dialect, i.e. Cantonese in this case! . l/ d2 z6 o3 }9 O) F% u0 H公仔箱論壇, [! x8 C" F) _9 p% ?
I think your interpretation of "Chinese" being just a human race is far too superficial ~~~ 4 B! o) P5 D$ g* k1 Jtvb now,tvbnow,bttvb
