Cosworth and Subaru have teamed up again to bring a tuned version ofthe Impreza STi to the Geneva Motor Show next month. The two companiesdo not plan a lengthy collaboration on multiple projects as theCosworth/Subaru STi is described as a "one-off" project.
Subarudistributed a teaser image to promote the release, which shows ataillight cluster with different tints. In an accompanying pressrelease, the companies say, "the result promises to be trulystaggering." The rumor mill is suggesting that the 2.5-liter 305 hp(227 kW) engine will be boosted to produce over 500 hp (373 kW). Asidefrom their focus on improving performance, engineers worked to offertighter handling while adjusting the car's body.
The two companies will release full specs about the Cosworth-modified Subaru Impreza STi closer to or at Geneva. |
