TheBMW Sauber Formula 1 team will race without KERS at this weekend'sSpanish Grand Prix. The system has been removed from both cars due to acomprehensive aerodynamic update according to the team.
"We will not be equipping either car with KERS in Barcelona," BMW teamboss Mario Theissen confirmed. "It was a case of lining up with eithera comprehensive aerodynamic update or KERS. The tuning time on Fridaywould be too short."
This doesn't mean though the team willnot fit their cars with KERS later this season. "We may come back toKERS in Turkey," said Theissen. |
