well. I am using vista ultimate. I dont have that feeling. The time I take to load it is slower that I used window xp professional but a few second more.
You know my system is pentium 4 3.oG, ddr 400 1gb dual channel. My index is 4.2 only. But it works fine.
However, i admit that it is not enough to run Vista when I am watching movie and doing searching on the internet. I got a 4GB patriot Xporter xt to boost the performance. It improves a little bit, especially when I play Call Of Duty 4.
So I think if you want to imporve the speed of loading. You have to check are there any programs loading with the Vista at the same time.
IF you want to use vista ready boost function, you should buy a fast 8gb usb driver at least. It is the basic requirement of ready boost.
