I don't want to sounds like pushing the Sunfire SDS12. Before I purchase that, I am comparing that with most other sub available on the market. Some are around the same price range and some are up to 30% more on top. For example some Jamo, Paradigm Ultracube 12 ...
SDS12 give me the best money value & performance.
I use that for both music & movie. Lots of people are saying no sub can good for both music & movie but this one can be one of the exception.
For movie, it dive really really really deep and not many sub in the market around similar price range can beat this. Example, some of the explosion & opening scene from Transformer, this sub really shaking my walls and photo frames are shaking. I need to emphasis, this is not about how loud is that, it's about how solid, quick response even at low to medium volume.
For movie, I like jazz, big band and some Chinese concert. This sub really shine again, and it make the drum kick and bass sounds so solid.
I highly recommend this sub.
One more to note, for a powerful sub like this, it is very very very important to set it up properly with the individual crossover frequency. LFE. Once that is setting up properly, it just something I can't miss from the hometheater system anymore.
