Here we have a sneak peak from the Berlin based tuners at MEC Design in which they have mocked up the future tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.The new Mercedes Gullwing is set to launch in the spring of 2010, andthese designs of the SLS AMG show it is capable of extreme styling. Thekit looks incredible, very aggressive, but still maintains the highclass look of a Mercedes all wrapped into one unique package. MECDesign started off with giant 22″ three-piece mecxtremel wheels, removed the Mercedes logo above the grille, andstarted designing the bumpers. Completely redesigning the front, side, and rear bumpers, MEC really transformed this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMGinto being capable of an award winning show car.
The new front bumper carries a deep meshgrille with curved side inlets allowing more air to the engine bay.Side skirts show that they have been deepened and come hooked up withthe MEC Design lighting system. The rear of theMercedes-Benz SLS AMG “Gullwing” shows an aggressive diffuser, thinrear spoiler coming from the trunk, and a MEC Design exhaust systemunderneath. Inside the highly anticipated Mercedes SLSis a carbon fiber steering wheel and Alcantara finishes to perfectlymatch the cockpit. A direct quote from the CEO, Cem Altun said, “We’revery excited about the SLS, it’s already becoming a classic just likethe 300 SL Gullwing. These first studies have received a lot of goodfeedback and now we just can’t wait to get our hands on one.” |
