Time: The Mud crabs season starts around November when the weather gets a bit warmer. I like to set the crab pots right before the incoming tide. Night time is always the best!
Spot: Small creeks near large river mouth. Don't go to big jetty or popular fishing spot. Those spot are generally over fished. Good size muddy always hiding in small Creeks. My secret spot is the small creek that run through the Brisbane airport.
Bait: Mullet, Cat food (punch a few holes on the can ), Chicken frame.
Pot: Use the square pot, don't use the round one. The entrance is too small for the round one.
Good Luck Crabbing!! |
