bchew

The Lotus flower starts as a little flower in her bud beneath the waters of a muddy, mucky pond. It struggled patiently upwards onto the surface of the filthy waters to reach sunlight and then it will blossom into the flower lotus. She then begins her destination of a dignifed purpose and the intended reasons to live a resourseful and meaningful life.

In Buddhist paintings and sculpture, the Buddha is often seated on a lotus flower and it symbolises that man can rise above being rooted in the ugliness and suffering of this world, so full of deceit and illusions.
