I've heard good thing from Yamaha, and I'd definitely stay away from Sony soundbar, I bought the HT-CT550w a while ago and end up returning it.  No matter how I set it up, the bass is "loud" but not deep enough, lack of mid-range and treble too shape.  I couldn't even finish the whole movie with it.
