i lived in the u.s. for almost 20 yrs now, and i'm currently in los angeles...
the reason that we drive it's not because we love freedom, it's b/c our public transportation sucks = we don't have a choice... not everywhere's like NY in the u.s...
many people nowadays (for the past several years), have been trying to carpool now, and there are passes that you can purchase, so that you can carpool to save $ on gas and car insurance, but you'll have to share your space w/ strangers...
so after all, it has nothing to do w/ the love of freedom, it's just our public transportation sucks...
everything's under the government's "control", if everyone have the option to ride public transportation, then who's going to buy cars? so who's going to buy those GM/Ford/Jeep/Chrysler (american cars)?
it's a strategy that the u.s. government use to make $$ from their ppl... |
