and also every time they at parking bay request Push Back and Start, straight away TakeOff Clearance is also given, normally you approaching the runway/holding point then only the tower will give you the take off clearance, especially international airport.

and also at the Episode that the Captain is conducting sim test to choose his co-pilot for the demo flight over Hong Kong city, they were doing circuit and landing, like racing , see who is the fastest to complete.
