i believe TVB always makes the shows tailored to the middle-aged housewives... maybe every now and then there would be a few good surprises.  The historic shows are horrible, the clothes look the same regardless of which era / dynasty.  Characters' behaviors and lines are modern....7 B( O+ c; j0 i1 T2 H6 F

So, I seldom watch TVB shows, except the 金庸 works.
