玉佛寺（WatPhraKaeo）位于曼谷大王宫的东北角，是泰国最著名的佛寺，也是泰国三大国宝之一。

这座位于御皇宫内的寺院是与御皇宫一并兴建的，自拉玛一世以来，它是皇室举行宗教仪式的地方。

玉佛寺最引人注目的就是供奉着泰国的宝藏——玉佛的大雄宝殿了。宝殿在日出时，其金墙就会闪亮生辉，十分耀眼。玉佛通体苍翠，隐约泛出绿光，所以寺院又称之为"绿宝石寺"。

经过一番‘长途跋涉’，玉佛于1434年在清莱被发现。后来玉佛寺建好后，这尊佛像就被供奉在其大雄宝殿内。
