Actim is the brand name for the official data of the English PremierLeague, The Football League and the Scottish Premier League. The datais used to produce Actim Stats in conjunction with Football DataCo Ltd.
The Premier League and Championship Actim Indexes - the officialratings systems for each division - are derived from these officialstats and are statistically proven to identify the best players.
Each Index is updated weekly and provides an exciting talking point forall football fans.
Actim Stats are a collection of team, player and match statistics.
They are derived from all the actions that take place during a match,including goals, shots on target, corners, fouls, offsides, passes,tackles, blocks and clearances. The raw data can be used to generate awide range of tables and statistics such as player profiles, team andplayer head-to-heads and form guides.
PA Sport gathers match data for every Barclays English Premier League,Coca-Cola Championship and Scottish Premier League game.
The data is gathered by two methods - real-time match analysis and thestudy of video footage. The real-time analysis is conducted byex-professional footballers that report on action at the grounds as ithappens. Further, more detailed analysis is obtained by studying videosof the matches.
