Apple 的 iPod nano 是 Apple 電腦結合 iPod shuffle 與 iPod mini 特點打造而成的第4代 MP3 播放器，於 2005年推出。 iPod nano 系列產品在其整個生命週期中有著不同的迭代。

近期，負責創建 iPod nano 的一位高管對外界展示了為探索產品可能性而創建的一組模型，甚至還推出了一本名為《製造一個非正統的值得製作的東西指南》(Build An Unorthodox Guide to Making Things Worth Making) 的新書。

前 Apple 公司 iPod 部門高級副總裁 Tony Fadell 在其 Twitter 上發布了一張有著六種不同 iPod nano 模型的圖片。圖片中的模型是 3D 打印的模型，可以直接拿在手上實際感受。

其中的第一個模型就像是 2008年發布的第四代 iPod nano 的外觀設計，其餘的地方與第一代產品設計相類似。最引人注目的在於其中一個模型是無邊框（edge-to-edge）設計，有人評論稱其無劉海iPhone。對於 Apple 敢於進行多種造型嘗試來說，過程還是十分有趣的。
