Sagna close to signing new Arsenal deal as Wenger looks to tie up crucial players
Arsene Wenger has revealed that Bacary Sagna is on the verge of signing a new improved contract with Arsenal.
Sagna, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season, but talks about an improved deal have been ongoing since the summer.
Wenger admitted on Friday that he should have positive news in the "next two weeks" as Arsenal aim to tie up their crucial players on new contracts.
Sagna has made 255 appearances for Arsenal since moving from Auxerre in 2007.
He has played 12 times for the Gunners this season, scoring one goal.
Arsenal will check on the fitness of Sagna (hamstring) ahead of Saturday's Barclays Premier League trip to Manchester City.
German forward Lukas Podolski has returned after his hamstring injury, but lacks full match fitness.
Forward Yaya Sanogo (back), midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby (both knee) are all still sidelined.作者: cy001 時間: 2013-12-27 01:01 AM
