( a2 b) Z+ c+ O/ `6 Y# s+ l) e9 e/ Ztvb now,tvbnow,bttvbEnglish translation of the original ; C: W8 @  }8 Z
The original song was written in 1933 by two Hungarians, Rezso Seress (music) ( A) q. L# }3 k
and Laszlo Javor (lyrics), and consisted of the first two stanza % g# h4 [. X; r8 \. n
only -- the last stanza was added later, also first in Hungarian, 6 U# c- Z# H8 V5 Q; X0 K8 e1 g
as Zoe Orosz from Hungary pointed out to me.

Actually, the second part of the song in Hungarian is not so reassuring at all.
- J9 t. j( H# S& A公仔箱論壇It is if at all possible, much gloomier than the first two stanzas, almost apocalyptic. TVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。$ ]0 @3 \9 g& z6 U
It looks like the pessimism of the song was too much for the translators and they made their translation a happier one.
8 E0 P# Z. }+ I: h; ^In that case one might argue that the translator has done a bad job
* C' I/ h* X% Y( l, Q6 E4 @. X& dtvb now,tvbnow,bttvband 'ruined' the song, or in other words: a translator has to maintain the original spirit tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb  C- V. {0 C# c" G! j  F; _
and intentions of the song. On the other hand, 5.39.217.77$ n' T7 R8 `0 f# w1 d" h
a translator may also be more than just a translator and based on the original create a new song.
5 j' F5 ?1 G: \: Z5 j8 I( R! m' rtvb now,tvbnow,bttvbPerhaps the Sam Lewis mentioned in the credits is responsible for this. 公仔箱論壇# O) Z- n( z; f) x6 Q

The war Zoe mentions could be the First World War, as the song originates from the 1930s. 5 ?0 X) Q, @* Y5 i

6 I. Q8 A3 S5 y, vI like this song very much! It is a little jazzy, and Sarah's singing and the music create the right mood for the song. 公仔箱論壇/ @7 F! k& i; n$ m- y
One thing is very strange, though. The mood changes between the second and the third stanza, TVBNOW 含有熱門話題,最新最快電視,軟體,遊戲,電影,動漫及日常生活及興趣交流等資訊。5 b1 \1 l2 K4 \! Y, N' s- H
because she wakes up and realises that the gloomy first two stanzas were nothing but a dream and the third stanza is then more chearful.
1 g$ t4 E2 D: `9 s- N/ Z8 Btvb now,tvbnow,bttvbThis change of mood is strangely rather abrupt: 公仔箱論壇( V% Z0 R6 Q5 b2 K
the pause is less than a second -- Sarah has barely enough time to catch her breath. $ q0 e! W% ^0 f
I would have expected the change in mood between stanzas two and three to be build up a little more gradually,
