Arsenal make formal offer for Villa and second Adrian bid According to Goal.com, Arsenal have made a formal approach for Barcelona’s David Villa and are preparing a second bid for Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez.
The Gunners are locked in talks with Atletico to sign Adrian after submitting a £10m offer last week but the Premier League side are also awaiting a firm decision on the future of David Villa.
Arsene Wenger is a long time admirer of Villa and is prepared to pay £13.8m to sign him on a permanent deal.
However, the Catalan club are yet to decide on the future of Villa, who has failed to hold down a regular starting place this season and Arsenal have made new contact with the club.
The North London club are also preparing to up their bid for Adrian Lopez to £12m, which still remains lower than the £14.7m release clause in his contract.
