Spring Orchids, so shy, so delicate:

Cyanicula caerulea (Blue Caladenia) - A single bright blue flower about 25 mm across.

Petalochilus carneus and commonly called Pink Fingers, the colour variation ranging from pale to dark pink through to white and white tinged with pink.

Spring has sprung downunder and due to recent rain we are having lots of blooms.
Have not heard of Hayley Westernra before, but she is a good singer. Enjoy these photos.

They are all Australian native ground orchids, they flower in the bush in late winter to mid spring. Absolute gems, only tiny, and you will have to really look out for them. Before you find them, you would have filled your lung with the fresh mountain air, seen the little insects hovering around, noticed all the different shades and color of the native bush. And when you find them, you can't help but to get really close to observe the delicate flowers, the changing shade of different color on the petals. Yet, they are there for everyone to admire.2 f# G+ l D3 g
