the answer is B +2.
let us assume that that person has $10. he pays $8 for the chicken, so he has $2 with him. he then sold the chicken for $9, and he now has $11. he pays $10 for the same chicken and has $1 left. after selling the chicken for $11, he has $12 at the end. therefore, he makes $2.
