English translation of the original 5.39.217.77" m4 l) O  Z/ ~4 _4 a; f9 f
The original song was written in 1933 by two Hungarians, Rezso Seress (music) 5.39.217.77, z( w% y, D3 @5 ]: W) x
and Laszlo Javor (lyrics), and consisted of the first two stanza 5.39.217.77; {  C* [; D& m( u$ u% Q2 J2 T

It looks like the pessimism of the song was too much for the translators and they made their translation a happier one. 公仔箱論壇* c5 e6 u0 \" O3 [" c- t

Zoe Orosz also made a translation into English of the original Hungarian song, adding:

# {8 l& E0 i# z. etvb now,tvbnow,bttvbSomeone said that:
% R" _2 y) B# m# ]公仔箱論壇I like this song very much! It is a little jazzy, and Sarah's singing and the music create the right mood for the song.
5 S. ^- Q. I& x& X4 _3 Z2 HOne thing is very strange, though. The mood changes between the second and the third stanza,
1 B, k1 ]; `' m" cbecause she wakes up and realises that the gloomy first two stanzas were nothing but a dream and the third stanza is then more chearful. 5.39.217.777 R) q6 H1 X% J+ K( h& Z
This change of mood is strangely rather abrupt: , `, D4 N( q  r& G0 v
the pause is less than a second -- Sarah has barely enough time to catch her breath.
/ v7 s& v' I& J0 a% H6 r% q/ UI would have expected the change in mood between stanzas two and three to be build up a little more gradually,
0 Z2 j+ O  H* B7 r5.39.217.77in five to ten seconds or so. After all, waking up and realising that it was a dream takes time.
3 }9 j# O- s4 T6 u! ]" [: [) B0 v: LHazan suggested that the last stanza could still be part of the dream: the singer has lost her lover, 1 l0 _' x' V5 k% b
continues her mourning in her dream, and as a reaction to the pain wishes it was all but a dream:
/ I; g2 q9 ?; W! i7 ?公仔箱論壇"I find you asleep in the deep of my heart", not next to her in bed. tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb! H- n% K8 c- N: F; g
I do not think this is what is meant here. The change of mood, the use of the words
4 |8 H& `6 A; i% N9 L7 G"I was only dreaming / I wake" and also the lines "I hope / 公仔箱論壇0 u1 N! D  l' U9 m9 z
that my dream never haunted you" make me think that the singer has woken up tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb/ n& F9 U! r  i: C1 X
