José Martín Cáceres (Born March 17, 1988 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan football player. His primary position is central defender.

In February 2007, he signed for Villarreal CF in Spain for five years on a free transfer from Uruguayan football club Defensor Sporting Club.
He will play on loan to Recreativo de Huelva in 2007-08.

He played with the Uruguay under-20 team in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, held in Canada in 2007.
